Sparks for Life is a non-profit organization that advocates for and meets the needs of vulnerable populations in Tzfat and its surroundings, providing solutions to challenges that arise through our close work with the elderly, disabled, single-parent families, children, and immigrants.
From the community, for the community.
An elderly neighbor requires a walker to stay independant. A family in crisis that will benefit from support to navigate tough times and regain stability. A child needs a safe environment to learn and play. Someone returning home from the hospital may just need the reassurance that they are not forgotten.
Real life doesn't always fit neatly into categories.
Sparks to Life steps in swiftly to assist through challenges before they grow out of hand. Sometimes all it takes is a single act of kindness to rekindle hope in a person's life.
promoting awareness
We work to promote awareness of social and economic hardships, physical and mental health, and more, through education, volunteering, and activism.
Support and caring
We provide emotional support to residents dealing with financial, social, and mental distress. Also support for local security forces with life-saving equipment and training to close the gaps.

We provide assistance to families and individuals dealing with challenges of various kinds, including clothing, groceries, and medical equipment, with professional guidance for financial management.
Distribution of Nutritious food
We organize a weekly distribution of healthy, homemade food delivered with love to the disabled and elderly, with a desire to give them a spark of hope and brighten their daily routine.

Shelters for Preschoolers
Since the outbreak of the war on October 7, we have undertaken to increase the safety and security of our residents, especially the children. We were shocked to learn that many of our preschools and kindergartens in Tzfat didn't have protection from incoming rockets, and we took action to correct this issue. So far we have installed 64 shelters in our region, including special education schools, therapy centers, and the municipal soccer stadium, with the generous support of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County with the Jewish Agency's Tzahar - Palm Beach Partnership 2Gether, Operation Lifeshield, CEJP, and private donors from around the world. We are still actively working to provide safety for the last schools and community centers on our waiting list...and in the meantime are transforming these shelters into therapy rooms to promote healing and recovery.
